Alaska Headlights rules

·  Whenever a motor vehicle equipped with headlights is also equipped with an auxiliary light, spotlight, or otherlight on in front of the vehicle which projects a beam of intensity greater than 300 candlepower, no more than a total of four lights on the front of the vehicle may be lighted at any time when there is approaching traffic.
·  The headlights must emit white light. No person may drive a vehicle upon a highway displaying a red light visible from directly in front of the vehicle, a flashing or rotating light. We recommend to stay away from blue and redLEDs.
·  Spot, fog, passing and auxiliary driving light restrictions no longer exist in Alaska’s laws as well as the number of lights allowed to be on at any given time.

13 AAC 04.020. Headlights
(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a motor vehicle must be equipped with at least two headlights, one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle. The headlights must emit white light to the front of the vehicle, comply with the requirements and limitations set out in this section, and be mounted at a height of not more than 54 inches or less than 24 inches.
(e) When a motor vehicle is driven on a highway during the times specified in sec. 10 of this chapter, the driver shall use a high distribution of light or composite beam, directed at a height and of sufficient intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of 450 feet in advance of the vehicle for all load conditions, subject to the following requirements and limitations:
1) when the driver of a vehicle approaches an oncoming vehicle within 500 feet, the driver shall use a distribution of light, or composite beam, so that the glaring or high-intensity portion of the light is not projected into the eyes of the oncoming driver; the light must be of sufficient intensity to reveal a person or a vehicle at a distance of 150 feet in advance of the vehicle for all load conditions; and
2) when the driver of a vehicle approaches another vehicle from the rear, within 300 feet, the approaching driver may not use the highest distribution of light.
13 AAC 04.245. Display of warning lights and devices when vehicle is stopped or disabled
(a) When a vehicle described in sec. 240(a) of this chapter is disabled, stopped, or parked on a shoulder of a highway outside a municipality in a manner which presents a hazard to traffic, and at a time when lights are required to be illuminated under sec. 10 of this chapter, the driver of the vehicle must display the following warning devices, except as provided in (b) of this section:
1) a lighted fusee, a lighted red electric lantern, or a portable red emergency reflector, which must immediately be placed at the traffic side of the vehicle in the direction of the nearest approaching traffic;

13 AAC 04.100. Flashing blue lights on vehicles
(e) Police and public fire vehicles may not use a flashing blue light except simultaneously with a flashing redlight as required in sec. 90 of this chapter.
(c) The following vehiclesmust be equipped with a flashing yellow warning light visible at 500 feet in normal sunlight to either the front, rear or sides or from all positions:
1) a vehicle of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, a municipality, or a contractor used in highway maintenance, inspection, survey or construction when working upon or within eight feet of a roadway;
2) a vehicle of a public utility company, when actually engaged in the construction, removal, repair, maintenance or inspection of a public utility facility and when parked or moving slower than the normal traffic flow upon or within eight feet of a roadway;
3) a motor vehicle engaged in towing a house or a building upon a highway;
4) a pilot car as provided in 17 AAC 25.090;
EQUIPMENT RESTRICTED
(b) Except as provided in secs. 37, 40, and 90 - 100 of this chapter, no person may drive or move a vehicle upon a highway displaying
1) a red light visible from directly in front of the center of the vehicle;
2) a flashing or rotating light; or
3) an alternately flashing light.

GEORGIA ·   In Georgia, not more than four  lights  may be  lighted  at one time on in front of a vehicle, being a  headlamp  or an auxiliary  lamp  or spot lamp, that projects a  beam  with an intensity brighter than 300 candlepower. ·   It is unlawful to operate any motor  vehicle  equipped with a device producing any blue  lights , whether flashing, blinking, revolving, or stationary. ·   It is unlawful to operate a motorcycle equipped with a device producing any blue ( LED )  lights . ·   At least one break  light  is required to drive the  vehicle  on the highway. ·   In addition to  headlights  and tail  lights , vehicles in Georgia are allowed to have additional  lighting  including at least two fog  lights  (see below). NEW MEXICO Headlights Law

1.    Any  lighted   lamp  or illuminating device on a  vehicle  (other than  headlamps , spot lamps , auxiliary  lamps  flashing turn signals) which projects a beam of an intensity greater than 3770 lumens shall be so directed that the beam will not strike the level of the road at a distance of more than 75 feet from the  vehicle . 2.    Flashing  lights  are prohibited, though flashing red  lights  may be used as warning lights on disabled or parked  vehicles  and on any  vehicles  as a means of indicating a turn.
