COLORADO
· The brightness of any lamp on the front must not exceed 300 candlepower. No more than a total of four of any suchlamps shall be lighted at any time in front when on a highway.
· Green colored lights are explicitly forbidden. Only yellow color shall be used as a warning lamp on an authorized service vehicle. Any motor vehicle may be equipped with stop lamps or lamps on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red an amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber.
· Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps mounted at the height if 16 to 44 inches (24-54 inches) as well as one tail light at the height of 20 to 72 inches. As for fog lights, auxiliary passing lights and auxiliary driving lights no more than two lights of each type may be mounted at 12 to30 inches, 20 to 42 inches and 16 to 42 inches respectively.
· The distribution of light or composite beam shall be of such intensity as to reveal a person and vehicle at a distance of at least three hundred fifty feet ahead.

205. Headlamps on motor vehicles.
(1) Every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in sections 202 and 204 to 231 and part 3 of this Code where applicable.
(2) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one and not more than two headlamps that shall comply with the requirements and limitations of sections 202 and 204 to 231 and part 3 of this Code where applicable.
(3) Every headlamp upon every motor vehicle, including every motorcycle, shall be located at a height measured from the center of the headlamp of not more than fifty-four inches nor less than twenty four inches to be measured as set forth in section 204 (3).
(4) Any person who violates any provision of this section commits a class B traffic infraction.
216. Multiple-beam road lights.
(1) Except as provided in this Code, the headlamps or the auxiliary driving lamp or the auxiliary passing lamp or combination thereof on motor vehicles, other than motorcycles or low-power scooters, shall be so arranged that the driver may select at will between distributions of light projected to different elevations, and such lamps may, in addition, be so arranged that such selection can be made automatically, subject to the following limitations:
(a) There shall be an uppermost distribution of light or composite beam so aimed and of such intensity as to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of at least three hundred fifty feet ahead for all conditions of loading.
COLORS RESTRICTIONS

Only yellow and no other color or combination of colors shall be used as a warning lamp on an authorized service vehicle; except that an authorized service vehicle snowplow operated by a general purpose government may also be equipped with and use no more than two flashing, oscillating, or rotating blue lights as warning lamps.
Any motor vehicle may be equipped, and when required under this Code shall be equipped, with a stop lamp or lampson the rear of the vehicle which, except as provided in section 42-4-215.5, shall display a red or amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber, visible from a distance of not less than one hundred feet to the rear in normal sunlight, and which shall be actuated upon application of the service (foot) brake, and which may but need not be incorporated with one or more other rear lamps.
EQUIPMENT RESTRICTED
(1) Spot Light.
Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two spot lamps, and every lighted spot lamp shall be so aimed and used upon approaching another vehicle that no part of the high intensity portion of the beam will be directed to the left of the prolongation of the extreme left side of the vehicle or more than one hundred feet ahead of the vehicle.
(2) Fog light.
Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two fog lamps mounted on the front at a height of not less than twelve inches nor more than thirty inches above the level surface upon which the vehicle stands and so aimed that, when the vehicle is not loaded, none of the high-intensity portion of the light to the left of the center of the vehicle shall at a distance of twenty-five feet ahead project higher than a level of four inches below the level of the center of thelamp from which it comes. Lighted fog lamps meeting the requirements of this subsection (2) may be used with lower head-lamp beams as specified in section 216 (1) (b).
(3) Auxiliary passing light.
Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two auxiliary passing lamps mounted on the front at a height of not less than twenty inches nor more than forty-two inches above the level surface upon which the vehicle stands. The provisions of section 216 shall apply to any combination of headlamps and auxiliary passing lamps.
(4) Auxiliary passing light.
Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two auxiliary driving lamps mounted on the front at a height of not less than sixteen inches nor more than forty-two inches above the level surface upon which the vehicle stands. The provisions of section 216 shall apply to any combination of headlamps and auxiliary driving lamps.
